Dr. Ritesh Narayan
Dr. Ritesh Narayan has been a proud resident of Chestermere for nearly two decades and has served as a dedicated City Councillor since 2017. As one of only three council members who remained following provincial intervention, Dr. Narayan has consistently upheld the values of integrity, accountability, and justice—even in the face of significant challenges.
A professor of law and criminal justice, Dr. Narayan brings a strong academic and ethical foundation to his public service. His policy priorities reflect a deep commitment to building a stronger, more inclusive, and forward-thinking Chestermere.
Ritesh was first elected as a City Councillor in 2017 and re-elected in 2021. Through his dedication and service, he earned the trust and respect of the community. As one of only three council members not removed by the province, Ritesh has consistently demonstrated integrity and a steadfast commitment to justice, even in the face of significant opposition.
